Sam Viviano is an award-winning illustrator and art director. Based in New York, he was a successful humorous illustrator for over two decades, his work appearing in magazines, books and advertising. In 1999, hebecameArt Director of MAD Magazine, a position he held for19 years. Viviano has lectured throughout the world on his career. He was a member of seven USO tours to draw for troops stationed in Europe, the Middle East and stateside.

Viviano won the National Cartoonists Society award for Best Magazine Illustration in 2009. In 2014 he was inducted into the MIN Design Hall of Fame
